ISLAMABAD: The Meteorological Department has forecast monsoon rains in upper and central parts of the country from Friday evening to Wednesday.

According to the news, the Meteorological Department has once again forecast monsoon rains in different districts of the country, and after these rains, the recent severe drought and heat wave is likely to decrease, however, due to heavy rains on Monday or Tuesday in Rawalpindi. , Gujranwala and Lahore low-lying areas are in danger of flooding.

 

According to the Meteorological Department, monsoon winds will enter the upper parts of the country with intensity from the evening or night of August 27, resulting in Kashmir, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock during the evening or night of August 27. Chakwal, Jhelum, Gujarat, Mandi Bahauddin, Sialkot, Narowal, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Lahore, Okara, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Mianwali, Kohistan, Shangla, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Mardan, Charsadda, Nowshera, Dir, Chitral , Peshawar, Kohat, Waziristan, Gilgit-Baltistan (Ghizr, Astwar, Diamer, Skardu, Gilgit, Hunza, Nagar, Gangchhe and Kharmang) are likely to receive intermittent showers with strong winds and thundershowers.

 

The Meteorological Department said that heavy rains are also expected in Kohistan, Dir, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Muzaffarabad, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Lahore and Kasur from the night of August 29 to August 30. According to the Meteorological Department, the rains are likely to reduce the intensity of the recent heat wave and heavy rains on Monday or Tuesday. The low-lying areas of Rawalpindi, Gujranwala and Lahore are likely to be inundated.
